Acreo AB is owned by the group Swedish ICT Research AB, which is owned by the industrial Associations FMOF and FAV together with RISE Holding (formerly IRECO) AB.
Swedish ICT Research
Acreo belongs to the group Swedish ICT Research which gathers research institutes in the information and communication area. Together the institutes in the group hold competence in the whole ICT area, ranging from hardware to software. The Swedish ICT Group consists of:
Majority owner of Swedish ICT Research AB (60 %) is RISE Holding AB (formerly IRECO) which is a holding company owned by the Swedish ministry for Industry. The industry through the two associations FMOF and FAV is together holding a minority post of 40%.

FMOF
Acreo's Partner Association FMOF has member companies with interests in microelectronics, optics, communication technology, and generally hardware oriented ICT technology.
Through its ownership FMOF promotes research and competence in the ICT area and specifically contributes to Acreo’s development. Being a member of FMOF offers a number of membership benefits (see further information under “FMOF Medlemsförmåner” - in Swedish).

RISE Holding AB
is a holding company controlled by the Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications. RISE is the majority owner of Acreo.
